our General English course if you want to…

- become more confident when using English.
On
the General English course, our aim is to improve your communication
skills, so the main emphasis is on speaking and listening - but we do,
of course, also include reading, writing and grammar.
We
take great care in planning your course. On your arrival we will carry
out an in-depth needs analysis, based on your current level of English,
to ensure that the course which we design for you will meet your
specific needs. Your progress will be continuously monitored so that
your lessons are always relevant.
You
can choose to have either 20 or 25 hours of General English private
tuition (" 1 to 1 tuition ") each week,( plus 5
hours per week of supervised self study if you wish) and many extra
contact hours with your two teachers. In total you will have up to
12 hours contact time with your teachers each day.
After
your formal lessons, you will have many opportunities to practise and
improve your English on shopping trips, visits to nearby towns,
historic places, local pubs and cultural events.
The
corresponding inclusive fees for a one
week course are £780 or £890 respectively with a 5%
reduction for the second or subsequent weeks of longer courses. There
are no "extras" to pay with these fees which include accommodation, meals and transfers from and to
Liverpool or Manchester International airports or local stations for
trains and buses.
For
longer courses the fees are reduced by 5% for the second and subsequent
weeks.
You
can book a General English course with us throughout the year. We
recommend a 2 week stay so that visits to local places of interest of your choice can
be included at the weekend.
